| Serving the poor is one of Forest Hill’s three guiding values, derived from our mission statement- “to reach and transform people into servants of Christ”. Christ said, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me" (Matthew 25:40). The love of Christ compels us to serve the poor in Charlotte’s inner city (“Samaria”) and globally (“to the ends of the earth”). We’ve created local and global service opportunities that will challenge you, stretch your faith, and allow you to experience the joy of obedience. Forest Hill believes that serving Charlotte’s poor is most effectively done in community (LifeGroups) and through indigenous partners. |
Careful attention is given to selecting inner city partners. We look for mission compatibility, leadership and organizational capacity, financial accountability, and ability to make a sustainable impact. |
