Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This role will be responsible for organizing, implementing and supervising curriculum in a loving Christ- centered atmosphere where parents and teachers partner with each other to help each child surpass their respective developmental milestones and prepare for the next stage of development. This role will also develop and implement age appropriate, scripture-based curriculum that incorporates Orange Curriculum, Hoard Gardner’s multiple intelligences, STEM activities, Montessori activities, and Reggio Emilia play-based hands-on learning educate infant classroom teachers on Baby Signs, stay abreast of Common Core Standards for Kindergarten, train and coach Teachers and Assistant Teachers on how to implement the curriculum, and promote a learning environment that reflects Forest Hill Church mission, purpose and goals, childcare policies and FHC standards to ensure the program meets the highest standards of excellence.

 

Skills / Qualities / Knowledge Requirements:

Professional Knowledge / Competencies:

  • Training and/or management experience in a child development center
  • Experience working and interacting with children
  • Understands the developmental levels of children ages 6 weeks to Pre-Kindergarten
  • Ability to interact comfortably with children and adults
  • Ability to manage and develop others
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-changing environment
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail

 

Education / Experience Preferred Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development with at least 5 years of childcare and staff management experience in a center or preschool setting
  • Must meet licensing, education, and degree requirements established by the state of South Carolina
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Procare and other computer software programs

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds frequently, reach a child 20 to 30 feet away within 30 seconds without endangering the staff person’s health crouch to a child’s height, maintain eye contact at the child’s level and sit on the floor, stand tall enough to reach children on the highest piece of equipment.
 
 

Motion Graphic Designer

As a Motion Graphic Designer, you concept and create content that supports Forest Hill on all of its creative channels. From weekend service elements, event promotion, social media content and more, the work you create will help Forest Hill accomplish its mission of building bridges to those far from God.

General Responsibilities:

  • Create video content for services that supports Church/series branding and environmental design.
  • Create mograph content for our online content channels, with an emphasis in Instagram and Youtube.
  • Brainstorm creative projects as part of the Creative team.

Must Haves:

  • Relevant experience in motion graphics and working in a professional, creative environment.
  • Proficiency in After Effects, Cinema 4d, and widely used plug-ins for both.
  • Ability to execute a project from concept to completion, with particular strengths in storytelling and graphic design.
  • Desire to be a part of a collaborative work environment, contributing elements video projects and others outside of normal motion graphics.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at different stages of development and regularly hit deadlines.
  • Experience taking an implementing the feedback of others.
  • The drive to continually improve learn and grow at your craft.
  • A personal relationship with Jesus, and a calling to advance His kingdom through the use of creativity.
  • A demo reel available online.

Bonus If:

  • Demonstrated experience working with or developing a brand identity.
  • Experience in adding visual effects to video projects.
  • Experience in building and growing creative volunteer teams.
  • Firm grasp in rendering technologies such as Redshift, Octance, or comparable.
  • Experience in styles geared towards young adult audiences.
  • Technological understanding of how to trouble shoot issues in hardware or software that arise in projects.
  • Demo reel or porfolio in other creative disciplines.

Worship Leader

This full-time position will share responsibility for creating and facilitating engaging and meaningful Christ-centered worship experience that reflects the mission, vision and interests of Forest Hill Church.

Additional duties include:

  • Collaborate in the creative design of weekend worship experiences.
  • Lead the congregation in worship on the weekends and other worship gatherings.
  • Provide coaching and guidance of contract and volunteer personnel in worship.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, peers, direct reports and support personnel to achieve common goals.
  • Help to create tracks (vocal or instrumental) and other resources to compliment the worship experience.
  • Participate in vocal and instrumental rehearsals.
  • Recruit, audition, and facilitate the development of all stage personnel.
  • Collaborate in the creation, composition, arrangement and publishing of original Forest Hill Church worship elements.
  • Support the worship/music needs in pastoral functions and special emphases of the church.
  • Provide relief and support to other campus worship teams as needed.

 

Qualified candidates should possess a diverse knowledge of musical styles, ability to lead diverse musical performances that engage large congregations, strong vocal and instrumental ability, strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop others, and strong time management skills. The successful candidate will have at least two years of experience leading adults in worship within a large church, experience in worship music composition and arrangements (both vocally and instrumentally), and experience working with relevant music tracking software. Associates degree or higher education and proficiency in one or more lead musical instruments and competence in a variety of styles of musical performance preferred.

Forest Hill Academy is currently hiring full-time and part-time teachers for ages 6 months to pre-K. Teachers must have undergraduate college or university degree in early childhood, child development, or a related field; or must have at least a high school diploma or GED and at least six months experience as a teacher/caregiver in a licensed, approved or registered child care facility.

 

Job responsibilities include:

  • Providing a Christ centered, safe, engaging environment for children.
  • Working with children in groups or one-on-one, depending on the needs of children and the subject matter.
  • Planning and carrying out a curriculum that targets different areas of child development, such as language, motor, and social skills.
  • Keeping records of the students’ progress, routines, and interests, and keeping parents informed about their child’s development.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with fellow staff, parents, and administration.
