Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for developing and leading the creation of impactful media pieces for Forest Hill Church. Performs duties as established to meet the organizational mission, vision, and values (DNA) of Forest Hill Church.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (includes but not limited to)

Relational Rhythm  

  • Serve on the Message Setup and Creative Elements teams for Weekend Worship Development.  
  • Lead Graphic Designers and Video Producers in the creation and design of Forest Hill Media Projects.  
  • Closely collaborate with Communications to create compelling and creatively excellent content for Weekend Message and peripheral elements.  
  • Collaborate with Worship CTL and Production CTL to implement and advance created elements across all campuses and in all venues.

Intelligent Design  

  • Lead the creation and implementation of graphic and visual media elements to fit with the weekend series.  
  • Design creative products that can be used in the service or in support of Forest Hill such as promotional and print material, and related content to enhance our online experience.  
  • Understand the desire of Forest Hill to integrate content channels around Weekend Series content and leverages that content across ministries and online channels. 
  • Design, test, and implement media elements across campuses.

Savvy Stewardship  

  • Navigate and manage the project load of the Media team, taking the lead on Weekend service projects while helping to balance those needs with others in the organization.  
  • Understand the evolving Digital Integration needs of the organization to produce content that engages people with the weekend services throughout the week. 
  • Integrate other teams, particularly Adult Ministry, in content creation for the Message Series.  
  • On an ongoing basis, evaluate and assess the effectiveness and quality of media elements, providing feedback to leadership on the growth and impact of these elements.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent in education, training and experience) in Video Production, Graphic Design or related field.  
  • Experience Developing Media Content for Church Services, particularly in Graphic Design and/or Video Production.  
  • Ability to help plan and execute content creation for Weekend Services.  
  • Practical experience in Adobe Product Suite, Cinema 4D or other equivalent products.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is responsible for managing Video Producers and Graphic Designers.

Relational Rhythm

  • Connects regularly with ministries and campuses about communication needs for announcements, slides, website, social media emails etc.
  • Monitors communication coming in from multiple sources (email, social, web) and respond quickly, or pass along the information to the right places as appropriate.
  • Helps connect with story candidates and help tell the transformational stories of Forest Hill congregants, in conjunction with the video team.
  • Sends out internal communications briefs to all FHC staff with all-important communications monthly, in collaboration with the Communications Director.

Intelligent Design

  • Maintains communication with the congregation through tools like email, social media, announcements, etc.
  • Works to implement an integrated communication strategy across all Forest Hill campuses and teams.
  • Regularly monitors and keeps Forest Hill media channels up-to-date.

Savvy Stewardship

  • Ensures that communication from the church is timely, accurate and engaging.
  • Maintains and shares data for multiple channels on and between social media, website, and email communications.
  • Keeps an updated calendar of all events and promotion schedules for Forest Hill.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent in Communications or a related-field
  • At least 2 years of experience in social media content creation and management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of (and passion for) existing and emerging social media platforms & trends
  • Ability to multitask and work well under deadlines
  • Ability to use any Adobe Products a plus

This full-time position will be responsible for building a full-day preschool (birth – TK) program and will be responsible for all aspects of the preschool at Forest Hill Church in Waxhaw. This role will be responsible for managing all administrative and educational operations of the school while fostering an environment where children and parent’s experience the love of Christ.

Specific Duties:

  • Manage all administrative and educational operations of the school, ensuring compliance with all state licensing and accreditation, as well as well as all government regulations and reporting requirements. 
  • Serve as an effective leader and mentor to preschool staff by fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Execute on Forest Hill’s mission, vision, and values, and ensure that the school delivers on its commitments to all Stakeholders (Students, Parents, Staff & Community). 
  • Oversee scripture-based curriculum development that meets all standards related to North Carolina State Childhood Developmental Guidelines.  
  • Ensure that the preschool meets or exceeds the requirements of the North Carolina Child Division of Child Development and Early Education (NCDCDEE), conforming to all applicable health, safety and licensing regulations. 
  • Create and maintain a 5 star rating with the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education.  
  • Maintain proper staff/child ratios at all times and cover in the classrooms as needed.  
  • Develop and manage annual marketing plan to attract new families and staff.
  • Manage preschool budget which includes purchasing, classroom inventory management, monitoring expense records, and partnering with Forest Hill in managing payroll.  
  • Collaborate with Forest Hill Communications/Media team on website management.  
  • Partner with Forest Hill HR Department for staffing of teachers, assistants, and substitutes, including hiring, dismissal, counseling, on-going educational training, and performance reviews.  
  • Manage outreach planning/implantation, field trips, seminars, and special events.  
  • Oversee ongoing communications to all parents, staff and management in areas of child development, safety, and problem resolution.  
  • Monitor daily classroom activities and scheduling of enrichment classes.

Qualifications:  

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a major in early childhood education, child development, or other closely related field.  
  • Must have at least Level III North Carolina Administration Credential or equivalent, and experience in accordance with the guidelines for maintaining a 5 star rating.
  • At least five years of progressive childcare and staff management experience in a center or preschool setting.  
  • The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, strong administration and organizational skills, ability to multi-task, strong communication skills, and ability to develop and manage others.  
  • Technical skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint), website design and maintenance, Adobe, and online document management and file sharing environments.  
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to articulate vision and mission of the program to current and prospective families, staff, and the community.
  • Skills to resolve conflict and emotional maturity to be an efficient supervisor of personnel and liaison to parents.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to manage web content and marketing materials.
  • Experience in early childhood education in a preschool setting. Financial acumen and capability to aggressively manage budget while balancing the needs of the program and center.  
  • Candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and assume postures at low levels to engage with children and keep them safe.

Little Kids Specialist

This position will be responsible for the care of children (birth – 5 year olds) as well as supporting the families that have children in this age group. Additional responsibilities include: recruiting, assimilation, training, developing volunteers, leaders, as well as coaches, maintaining all Little Kids classrooms, implementing the Orange curriculum for the Little Kids Ministry, as well as helping to develop new content to supplement and placement of all volunteers with campus-specific Family Ministry.

Specific Duties:

  • Effectively recruit, assimilate, train, and continually develop Little Kids volunteers for birth – 5 year olds (including volunteer coaches) to engage in discipleship environments within Family Ministry. 
  • Uphold the Family Ministry Child Protection Standards and Expectations 
  • Collaborate with Family Ministry teams and share best practices to ensure overall ministry success within each campus.

  • Manage the Little Kids (birth- 5 year olds) classroom volunteer expectations, recruiting, trainings, and developmental progress and goals to ensure effective attraction, retention and engagement.
  • Engage leaders/coaches to get involved in individuals lives beyond weekend services, equipping all volunteers to be spiritual leaders. 
  • Coordinate database management systems and volunteers to organize Little Kids Ministry supplies, curriculums, groups, rosters and rooms. 
  • Collaborate with other staff and campuses on projects and the continued sharing of ideas. 
  • Routinely review volunteer recruiting, development and growth procedures to ensure efficiency, productivity and quality within all Little Kids volunteer groups. 
  • Assist in executing large group experiences, programming, trips and events, hospitality, and database management, as needed.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent in education, experience, and training) in child or student development or education, communications, family ministry, religious studies, or a combination of the above. 
  • Strong understanding of Early Childhood needs, developments, and trends from ages 0-5.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Scripture and biblical theology.
  • Experience working directly with children and adults within a ministry environment. 
  • Ability to lead, manage and train individual volunteers and volunteer teams.
  • Ability to effectively communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences and age groups.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skill with ability to effectively coordinate and schedule.
  • Experience in Microsoft office programs and database management systems.

This position is responsible for overseeing production of weekend services for our Forest Hill Ballantyne campus to visually represent the mission, vision and interests of Forest Hill Church in the weekend service environment.
