Learning to Pray
At Forest Hill, we believe that prayer is a critical part of our faith. It isn’t hard to start praying, but whether it’s your first time, or first time in a while, you may not know where to start. That’s why we are creating this place to house resources, practices and events for you to learn to pray and connect with others to pray together.
Pastor Jonathan Scott spent some time this summer using a practice for prayer called Lectio Divina. It is a way to read and contemplate scripture and reflect on it in prayer. This resource allows you to follow along through the book of Ephesians with Jonathan, while also teaching you how to use this practice on your own going forward. Download a copy here.
At all of our campuses, we regularly take time to come together specifically to pray. Often, these guided prayer times focus on specific topics, learning to pray, or specific moments in the life of our church or world. To find out if there is something happening near you, check out our events page.
