How Can We Help? The FHC Care Champion Ministry!
Life can get hard but you were never meant to face those times alone. Whether your current challenge is relational, emotional, spiritual, financial, vocational, or something else entirely, Forest Hill Church cares deeply about you and your well-being. While we can’t promise to “fix” every situation, we seek to do all we can to offer genuine care and practical support to those regularly engaged with our church community.
Congregational care begins locally at each campus. Using the caring philosophy and process of Spiritual First Aid™, we strive to compassionately address the diverse needs of our congregation – physical, socioeconomic, emotional, social, and spiritual. Care is facilitated through a dedicated Care Coordinator at each campus who will receive your care request and connect you with a trained and certified Care Champion. While Care Champions are not clinical counselors, each one is equipped to be a caring presence with you, help you apply beneficial coping practices, and connect you with appropriate resources to address your most immediate need. Currently, our primary Care Champions are our elders, deacons, and ministry staff—all fully committed to offering Christ-centered, compassionate, and practical, relational care.
Please click the link below to submit a confidential and secure request for pastoral care through a Care Champion at one of our local campuses. After submitting your information, you can expect a response within two business days.
Alternatively, you can call our main number, 704.716.8700, wait for the recorded greeting, then press “2” and follow the prompts to connect to your campus care extension to request pastoral care.
Care in the Significant Stages of Life
Life brings seasons of great joy and deep sorrow, and we believe that no one should navigate these moments alone. Whether you are preparing for marriage, facing illness, or dealing with the loss of a loved one, we are here to support you with care, guidance, and prayer.
Premarital
Marriage is a sacred covenant, and preparation is key to building a strong, Christ-centered relationship. If you are engaged or considering marriage, we invite you to begin the premarital counseling process with us.
Illness
Whether physical, mental, or emotional—can be isolating and overwhelming. You don’t have to go through it alone. We want to come alongside you with prayer, encouragement, and support. Let us know how we can care for you during this season.
Death
Losing a loved one is one of life’s most difficult moments, and you don’t have to face it alone. We are here to provide comfort, prayer, and practical support during this time. For urgent needs, please reach out to us using the contact information below, and we will respond as soon as possible.

Caring for Families
Our Pastoral Care Team is here to help support families, offering spiritual, emotional, and practical support to families as they navigate the challenges and joys of life. As we come alongside your family, our hope is that this offers a sense of belonging, deepens the faith of your family, and strengthens our church community as a whole.
Whether you have a family crisis, need prayer and support, or suggestions how to help your family grow spiritually, our team is here to help!
Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP)
Recognizing that individuals are whole beings—psychological, social, physical, and spiritual—Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP) offers a therapeutic approach that intentionally unites clinical counseling with Christian theology, spirituality, and values. This integrated model affirms that healing may involve more than symptom relief or emotional well-being; it can also include spiritual renewal, a deeper relationship with God, and growth toward Christlikeness. By honoring each client’s personal convictions and faith journey, SIP creates space where evidence-based treatment and biblical truth work hand in hand to foster lasting healing, personal growth, and holistic wholeness.
The Ministry of Care Through Prayer
At Forest Hill Church, we believe prayer is the foundation of a deep and growing relationship with God. Prayer is not complicated—it’s simply talking with God—and we are committed to creating opportunities for you to experience its power. Whether you’re new to prayer or have been praying for years, we want to help you take next steps in deepening your prayer life with confidence and intimacy. Across all our campuses, we offer spaces for personal and communal prayer, as well as dedicated times for our pastoral team and elders to pray with and for you. As conduits of care, we seek to be faithful to James 5:14 that reminds us, “if someone is sick, they should call for the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.”
We invite you to join us in all aspects and opportunities of prayer here at Forest Hill.
