rEcess is a respite night event that provides an opportunity for parents who have kids with disabilities to enjoy some time away while their child and their siblings are cared for and engaged by a team of YMCA, Joni & Friends and Forest Hill Church staff and volunteers who will provide a variety of games and activities. This respite night event is free and open to families who have children 3 -15 yrs old with disabilities as well as their siblings. We welcome adults and students (8th grade and above) from the YMCA, Forest Hill Church and Joni and Friends, to serve at rEcess. Whether you are welcoming families, helping with activities, playing with siblings or being a buddy to a child with disabilities, rEcess has a place for you! Experience is not required and training will be provided.
