Every Tuesday throughout the winter we will be sheltering 12 homeless neighbors from the Roof Above.

FAQ:

How are neighbors selected?

Roof Above receives neighbors who would like to participate in the program. They are screened and then assigned to a location. Last year we received a diverse group of both men and women, and several children.

What are the sleeping arrangments?

We have 14 cots and mattresses with clean sheets and blankets spaced out in our large Student Sanctuary.

Why are the morning shifts so early?

Many neighbors have to be at work early the next day, and public transportation takes a long time.

Can children volunteer?

Children can serve alongside dinner hosts with adult supervision, or on the setup team. We want to avoid overwhelming our guests with too many children at once, so numbers should be limited.

This event is for all middle and high school students and their friends! You can find candy. You can find gift cards. Can you find the ultimate prize? Join us to find out! There will be extra clues for each friend that you bring! See you there!

We would love to invite you to Discover Forest Hill. This brunch is for anyone that wants to learn more about our church and take the next steps to getting plugged in.

It will be in between the morning services at 10:15 AM. Please plan to attend first service as we sometimes go over and cannot promise that you will make it into the second service in time. We will have a presentation, time for questions, food, and fellowship. We hope to see you there!

We will have breakfast and coffee.

Alpha is a series of 6 group conversations that explore the basics of the Christian faith.
Each week you’ll have a chance to discuss who Jesus is, what faith means, and get tools to help you study the Bible and learn how to pray. You’ll have a chance to ask lots of questions and meet new people.
We are offering this Learning Community online only.

Middle School Camp helps the next student to take their next step in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Throughout the week students will take actionable steps with our Forest Hill Church outreach partners by participating in opportunities on camp property to serve. Not only will your middle schooler learn what it means to serve with a heart focused on the Lord, but they will also get to participate in a lot of recreation activities. Some activities include zip lines, lake time, climbing walls, horseback riding, hummer rides and more! This is a great opportunity for your student to take their next steps and grow deeper in Christ!

Planes and Picnic – This event is for all college aged students and their friends! Come hang with us at the Airport Overlook (5130 Airport Overlook Dr, Charlotte, NC)! Bring money for a food truck, or bring a dinner to eat while we connect and watch some planes come and go. Bring a friend and we will see you there!
